05-01-2013There's a new chef stirring the pot at The Riverhead Project. Roy Wohlars has joined The Riverhead Project as new executive chef for the start of the summer season. Wohlars has plans to expand the menu and incorporate some of his own recipes, which, he said, are inspired by the local farms and waters of Long Island.

10/27/2012In the vault at the Riverhead Project on can have a private party, attend a book club meeting or go to a wine dinner. For its Fall Series of The Wine Project, tRP will be hosting a representative from Vidalco Wines on October 28. That's this Sunday! Vidalso imports wine from around the world, including unusual countries like Romania, Uruguay, San Marino and Luxembourg. Tickets are $85 per person and the space is limited. Cocktails are at 5 p.m. and dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.

September 2012by Carl Corry Riverhead officials and members of the members of the Riverhead Landmarks Preservation Commission had two things to celebrate Tuesday morning. First, they unveiled the first of 20 new historic markers promoting the town’s downtown historic district, which they hope will grab visitors’ attention and spur economic activity. But they also celebrated the recent addition of the Riverhead Main Street Historic District to the National Register of Historic Places.
